Mr. Keating's teachings
Mr. Keating is teaching his students to look at life from a different view. he made all his student stand up on his desk to demonstrate this view. he also taught them to be there own person, to stand up for what they believe in. he made them all walk at different paces to demonstrate this. The biggest lesson he taught was to seize the day. this lesson was the major plot motivator of the show. in contrast, Holden was taught that he had to act like everyone else and follow all the rules. he cant do anything that was extraordinary, he had to be ordinary.
